This blog was created by Jacob Levernier and Bryson Nitta, students at the University of San Francisco and Seattle University, respectively. It is mainly a collection of their thoughts on subjects waxing generally philosophic.

Posts in the category “Extended” are more structured and formally written; posts in the “Compact” category are shorter and less organized.

Jacob Levernier pursues a major in Psychology and hopes one day to enter the fields of Clinical Psychology and Neuroscience. Jacob is currently much interested in the relation of subjectivity to the objective realm and the parallel marrying of the philosophical and historical and abstract with the logistic and present and concrete. Jacob is interested in mushin no shin between people.

Bryson Nitta is an Environmental Studies major, and plans on continuing education after Seattle University at a law school or graduate studies in theology or philosophy. Concerned mainly with the plight of man’s relationship with Nature, he is currently interested in the implications of Hua-Yen and Ch’an (Zen) Buddhism for contemporary American society.
